It is finally done. I do not usually do mixed media works, but it was the easiest way of consolidating all my favorite symbols and fascinating concepts into one image. An image to represent the human race’s intimacy with the universe (at least how I perceive it) and how we use and distribute space and time. A barn owl to represent wisdom and curiosity. A dagger to represent violence and its cleansing properties. A koi fish to represent balance. A drawing hand creating a landscape to indicate social constructs and how everything we know is an illusion. A black hole/clock hybrid to indicate the potency of time and how we have purpose because of it. And a central rubix cube to show the unresolved state of everything we know (an epistemological aspect to the piece). Every picture here is hand drawn except the landscape under the hand (which is actually an antique French postcard). It may not be my best, but it is the one with the most meaning to me
